A new tune for a classic hymn text. I wanted to incorporate some rhythm and drumming into a regular Pentecost service. As I was exploring and improvising, the words to "Breathe on Me Breath of God" came and connected with a simple new chorus, "Come Holy Spirit Come". 

This is great example of a newer hymn from the New Century Hymnal (UCC).  Sung here in a very simple arrangement that lets the words touch the heart. It speaks in words that are concrete, yet emotional about the relationship between Creator and Creature. 

This song is one of a series of videos I created for COVID Christmas Services during 2020. Using technology (Soundtrap) creatively, I collaborated with 9 musicians - from isolation of our homes - and created all the music for a live, online Christmas Eve service. Through music we came together in spirit, while separated in body.

This arrangement of Adagio for Strings is a perfect pairing for the wonderful organ at Elyria United Church of Christ. This work is a masterpiece in any instrumentation.
